Hi,

My name is Joseph Ponnou. 

I consider myself as a professional motor racer (though I haven't really won any events worthy of mention) and I also indulge in mountaineering, bird watching and sudoku kind of stuff.

I have now been living in UAE (United Arab Emirates) more than 15 years and have been personally witnessing the phenomenal growth of the country in the last few years.

If you didn’t know it, UAE is among the fastest growing tourism destinations globally and is among the world’s top countries in terms of economy growth and GDP. Okay, okay; I hear you... the global recession has had its toll on Dubai too and there are varied views from the economists as to what could be the true extent of the impact on Dubai, UAE.

Thousands have chosen UAE to establish businesses including international corporate giants and thousands more have been flocking here seeking greener pastures in their careers. Many more have found this haven to hold excellent investment opportunities in real estate and financial products.

Looking around with a neutral eye, what I realized is the hard-core truth that while people, in general, enjoy a safe, pleasant, easy, cosmopolitan and luxurious lifestyle in this beautiful country, there are indeed many who are not so fortunate and land up in unpleasant situations such as compromised salaries, time delays in obtaining required documentations and yes, even jail terms… Well, I must confess that I am one among the people who has personally gone through each one of these unpleasant experiences. While all this can be avoided with research, such research can cost you a good amount of time and money.

On the other hand, such people who experience unpleasantness, albeit due to their own ignorance, perhaps spread negative messages about this wonderful country and do injustice to those who could be otherwise thriving in UAE.
